Hey guys, im a posting fool this am, plus work is dead.. but anyway i have what maybe a stupid question.. but what is the real difference between long tube, midlenght and shorty headers?? i was thinking about it the other day and by the time you hook your xpipe or midpipe up to it, your using the same pipe length and same size piping correct?? IE if you use shorties you will use a longer midpipe and vise versa.. so how and why does this effect power between them all?? so techinically the flow should be the same with all of them anyway?? i guess im asking being im trying to find a good combo to pair with my Loud Mouth, i was dead seat on the full SLP set up for the longest time, but i was really wondering the diff between them, cuase i was thinking about going bassani mids with there x with cats, (little cheaper)..

Appriciate the info and help!!

It's more about exhaust pressure and restriction in the space between the exhaust port and the collector where your mid-pipe connects that makes the difference.
