header bolt question

header bolt question(PLEASE HELP!)

trying to figure out how to get the last bolt off on the passenger side header.(near the firewall)

can anyone make any recommendations on what do and what size socket/wrench to get the job done?

I get it with a wrench. I have Stage 8 header bolts that have 12 point heads so I can get a bunch of different wrench positions. Just be paitent. Try taking a few things off so you can get at the area a little better.

yeah thats what i am installing, but im just trying to see the best way to get at the STOCK bolt. bleh im out of ideas and have bloody knuckles.

That one is the bitch of them all. Just wait till you try starting it and getting it tight once you get it back on.

you can use a wrench and reach your hand under and behind the egr tube next to the firewall but be careful theres two screws sticking out of the firewall do this after the car has completely cooled and face the wrench pointing toward the firewall and tighten and/or loosen once you learn the correct position its fairly easy i have also used an extension and universal on this bolt....now that i have deleted my smog pump its very easy to access this bolt....also you will need to remove the air intake tube and filter. ...

yeah i got all the other bolts, i just cant get to this one. if i didnt have a smog pump(and all the great goodies that comes with it) it would probably be alot easier. oh well.

any other idea?

That bolt had not given me to much of a problem. That one you can get a socket on. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I used a shallow 11mm socket with a swivel joint and a small extension on 1/4inch drive wrench. All my AC stuff is out so I don't know in your case.
