I have made the header chart... what is the next chart you guys think I should make ? Open to suggestions. Not everything lends itself to a chart but the headers definitely do and Dodgestang has the wheels covered.

Not a bad idea. I think if you combine that with the air filter information...that might prove valuable. Not sure how wide of a variation there are in intakes since I haven't fooled with many. Maybe combining intake, carb, and filter ? See what combo's fit well and which required hood changes. I don't want to go crazy with the databases because not everything lends itself to one.

how about a trans,rear gear,tire size = RPM chart????
All of the Ford 5-speed manuals and 4-speed autos use almost exactly the same OD ratio as well as the 1:1 in the gear right before OD. With that in mind I made a small chart to calculate approximate RPM ranges for cruising at 60mph here...

http://www.edbert.net/rpm_chart.htm

I know you wanted to see various MPH figures, and my chart does not take tire flex/growth into account, but it is a good start if you wanna use it. It was made by me to select a R&P for use behind my AOD, but if you wanna see the numbers for a T5 just take what I marked as 4th gear and call it 5th and take 3rd and call it fourth. The two trannies (T5 and AOD) use a 0.67 and 0.66 OD ratio, which means they are the same for an RPM chart :D

Here's the math if you just want to do your own from scratch:
MPH = (rpm * tire diameter) / (rear gear ratio * trans gear ratio * 336)
RPM = (rear gear ratio * (mph * 88)) / ((tire Circumference/12)) * trans gear ratio

I did graduate research there and that was 10 years ago so I can't remember the exact division. I worked in the building directly across from the wind tunnels. We were doing all kinds of programs and testing for runway navigation. I enjoyed the free air shows the most :nice:
