Ok, I personally haven't tried this, but I've heard from a very reliable ford friend about this site. Ajusa.com You can order your headers and specify your engine size, automatic or manual, etc. and these ceramic coated, pre-bent headers will be sent to your door for about $360 shipped. It sounds too good to be true, but I think it's well worth looking into.

I have Hooker Super Comps in my 70 and I have a 428cj with a C6. I didn't have to do any modifying but it was a very tight squeeze. The only part that I think could be a problem... well at least in my situation was that the shift linkage on the C6 comes a little close to the collector but that was easily bent and it works fine. I am not for sure on the 351 but I can't imagine it being any worse than my setup. As for horror stories it was a pain to get the engine and headers in but that was more the 428's cause.
