Header Question???

I have just purchased some ceramic coated BBK shorty headers for my 1985 Mustang hatch. It still has all of the original stuf equiped to it like A/C and smog. What is the easiest way to get the passenger side header off with all of that crap in the way? Should i take off the pumps or just try and disconnect the hoses........help please!!

It's not necessary to remove the smog pump. You just have to loosen the clamps and disconnect the hoses. You might as well change your spark plugs while you have access to the area.

Thanks what about the A/C would it be easier to just remove the bolts and lay it too the side?

I've swapped headers on my car probably about a dozen times and I've never had to touch any of the a/c components to remove the headers
