Header swap.. What normal problems?

i wouldnt take a dremal to the steering shaft, if anything take a good ol hammer and slightly modify(read beat in) one of the primaries that touches the steering shaft, if any. When i had shorties on the 302 i didnt have any problems with the shaft really. I would much rather lose a pony or to than weaken the steering shaft by making it thinnner in one area. It really might not break, but i would rather not worry about it at all.

Things you will need;

1 can of PB blaster
sockets [fogot the size] / rachet / extension
open ended wrenches to get at some of the header to head bolts
gloves to prevent busted knuckles
flat blade screw driver to remove all the smog equipment on the pass side
new (felpro) gaskets
Locktite
Jack & stands

The removal will take the most amount of time. once you clear out all the ducting / smog stuff start working on the header / head bolts. For the bolts to the H-pipe, you need to use the PB blaster or some sort of saw. Those things [if they are original] will be really stuck!
