I'm trying to find out if there are any headers on the market for a 66 conv with 302 & Manual Trans. Any input would be great.

Thanks. I heard the Tri-y's don't need mods, but one catalog said they did. That tends to confuse you a little.

only thing you would need is a drop bracket if you have power steering

I installed a pair of tri y's with the drop bracket last week and still had to make a few mods. The drop bracket did'nt give enough clearance between the headers and the power steering ram. After reaming out the hole where the PS cylinder bolts onto we were able to get it to the point were it was'nt hitting the header. I'm gonna have to and get an inch cut out from the collectors to raise it so it's away from PS cylinder and so I can move the drop bracket up. Apart from that it was a pretty easy fit and they look great too

Shorty headers work great. I have a set of JBA's on mine with a 302, manual tranmission.

I've had Heddman headers on my '66 302 with a mechanical clutch a while back, and now with the cable setup. With the cable setup, I should have used some high temp header wrap...
