Headers or X-Pipe

I'm not sure about GT's, but I know on Mach 1's, an X pipe will get you more HP and it's cheaper too. Header's are never worth the money unless it's long tubes

On a GT an X pipe catted or o/r will get you more HP then shorties. but then again just as everyone says shorties are a waste of money. Also, If you get longtube headers you need to get a shorty midpipe.

i say x-pipe, but keep in mind as others have said if you decide to get LT's in the future, you will have to buy a shorty x-pipe to match it. i say go with the SLP. I have one, and its top-notch quality. If you decide to get LT's down the road, you can keep the slp x-pipe and just remove the down tubes. also, with LT's you may notice a loss of low-end torque. to make up for that, get a set of 4.10 gears. the gears wont give you any hp, but will improve acceleration dramatically. so, i say slp x-pipe, 4.10s, then LT's. :nice:

also, if you decide to go with the slp x, you may also want to consider what cat-back you plan on getting. if you want the slp loudmouth, or even magnaflow packs, you will probably want to get a catted x or you will have no backpressure(with an o/r x) and may not like the sound of your exhaust. especially if you get LT's in the future. if you plan on getting a cat-back with mufflers, you can get away with an o/r x. this is what ive learned from reading these forums for months now, so if im wrong, feel free to correct me, just keep the flaming to a minimum. i bruise easily.

oh yeah, i think mac also just started selling the prochamber and downpipes seperately, so thats another route you can go. good luck
