Not to sway you otherwise man but they will throw codes without a tuner. They are sweet though and with a X-cal or Predator you will be able to clear codes. Mil eliminators are also an option. I myself have never heard of these but if they are claimed to be a direct bolt on replacement and are stainless then you should be ok. LMK

I would say they ''might'' throw codes without a tuner. It's hard to say. Some guys install JBA's like mine and throw codes and some don't. My car didn't. Then, I had it dyno tuned and haven't had a code at all. Do you have a hand tuner?

not to hijack the thread but someone has asked about these headers in another thread and this is how i responded:

Having been an Import guy for the last 5 years I can tell you that OBX and other cheap Chinese brands can only take you so far. Buy simple stuff from them like radiator hoses, knobs, and even catbacks but don't put your faith in stuff that is meant to be abused like headers, turbo manifolds or even turbochargers! They usually end up failing at the welds in a hurry if you can somehow manage to get past their everpresent fitment issues.

That said some of these brands (Megan Racing springs to mind) have done miraculous turnarounds and offer decent to great products (once again only for things that don't get beat up too badly or endure constant wear).

hope it helps.

I was a happy owner of a 1996 Nissan 240SX for about 5 years. It was a mean track/drift/autox car but I didn't want to spend the money to go turbo and I needed some warranty behind me so I went back... (notice my join date) to a Mustang. I'm a car guy at heart I love all cars no matter who makes them that's one thing I learned since then.

Thanks for having me on here again.

OBX are big into the tunner market, cut thier teeth on 4 cylinders, I wouldn't put a lot of faith in thier V-8 experience. I know kooks and jba cost more, but they do alot of R&D to give you a quality product. JBA has been in the header business for years with a fine facility and large R&D department, it's name you can trust. Sure, you pay for the name, but there is an old saying, "you get what you pay for". I don't know alot about kooks, but from what I've read on the forums and MM&FF mag, they are a very good header as well.
