Hi,
I would like to change my stock headers (65 Fastback 289 A code) with Tri-Y or ?.
For more power and more good sound, i would like to change my exhaust system with full exhaust X or H pipe(Ex: Flowmaster 40 series).
Are there any suggestion to me for the best choose.

There have been a ton of threads about this. Here is how I ultimately decided, because opinions are a%%H@les, everyone has one.
I went to a local car show, early. I walked around as the cars were pulling in. When I heard the "right" sound, I walked over and talked to the owner. SHE was glad to show me the setup. I don't like the raspy sound of an X-pipe, so I knew H was the way to go. The mufflers were the key. I wanted deep rumble; so I went with Dynomax Super Turbo's. As you may have read, I am having heck of a time getting it started, but this weekend I should be able to Post a Sound clip for you.
A friend of mine and I both have tri-y headers, h-pipe and flowmaster 40s. He has a hipo 289 in his gt350 fastback and it sounds deep. I have a stock 289 and it sounded good at idle and good while driving but not as loud as his. To me, they gave the true muscle car sound.
It really is subject to personal preference. I think you have to hear them as well... I've had both with my Mustangs and h is superior... but that's just another opinion and your's is all that counts.

If you want the deep "pounding" when you are next to the car . . . h-pipe and flowmasters.
I personally like the x with spintech sportsmans. I used to have that then went to a pro-chamber and took the tailpipes off. It sounds much deeper but I don't think sounds as good at WOT.
Like all the other posts here... it ultimately comes down to what you think sounds best. But I went with an H-Pipe and Flowmaster 40 series. I think it sounds great but again, just my opinion.
Another flowmaster/H-pipe guy... no one has ever complained abotu the sound of my car, and i pretty frequently have people come over asking questions about my exhaust/engine etc (and that was with my stock 351w, cant' wait until i fire it up in a few days with all the new goodies).
This is my 351W, 10.5 comp with 2.5" and H-pipe, Magnaflow stainless mufflers. Very nice cruise rumble, very quiet inside. Fairly loud outside when you open up but not obnoxious. http://www.omg-e.com/mustang/airport_pony.wmv
