well you definately shouldn't have to take your engine out, just might have to remove your k-member.. me and my dad installled my LT's in our very small 1 car garage without a lift..

I love the bottle jack sitting on the old floor jacks lift pad. I have never seen anybody do that before.
Well anyways back to the topic. you can either jack the motor up or lower the k-member as the pic shows. The motor does not have to come out

lol all I have to say about that is desperate times call for desperate measures and we were already frustrated enough because we tried to install them without dropping the k-membersvttech76 said:

I like Pro3 and all I got was this crappy CT.
I installed my header with
2 floorjacks
2 Jackstands
2 Rhino ramps
Various hamd tool
21 cans of MickyLight
2 lg pies of pizza
And no help( need to make friend...)
I guess some people do install them without dropping K member. I personaly don't see how. Some bolts(like that of back of driver side, and top of passengerside) were hard enough with K-member dropped.
Way I see it, any time you save by not dropping K-member is going to be consumed by trying to snake header in, locate 3rd starter bolt, deal with steering shaft and generally too tight of space to do anything.
Here is link I followed when I did mine. almost dead on. I think only thing thats not right was one spot, it says it use 24 mm, where as it should have been 21mm or something like that.

dropping the K memeber is def. an option...but its not the only one
Since most LT's dont give you access to the clutch with out taking a LT off, i decided to d a clutch at the same time
with that said, I did no drop the k member but rather took the tranny off and jacked up the motor....
that method worked awesome..and if yo have lift you have a bigger advantage. I would definity recomend doing it that way

I like Pro3 and all I got was this crappy CT.
i think dropping trans is more of work then dropping K-member. But doing clutch at the same time is not bad idea. My clutch went month after I installed the LT's .....
