If I added headers will it add any horsepower and or change the sound for my 2002 GT? Does it already come with factory tuned headers stalk? I'm planning on doing a full exhaust system on my mustang and i'm just doing some research first before i start buying parts. So basically the ultimate question is should i even bother buying headers or just do a cat-back with an aftermarket x or h pipe. I'm looking more for quality and horsepower than just a cheap sound like flowmaster.

Yes, headers will add power, long tubes that is. Be forewarned, it is a PITA. Do a quick search of the forum, as there are tons of threads on the matter.

Headers on the 99-04 Mustang are a waste of time and money, you will be lucky to gain more than 10HP from stock. You will have to lift the engine out to get the headers in. Just go buy yourself a set of Bassani X pipe Cat backs and you will love it.

Aftermarket X or H pipe

&

aftermarket Cat-back

Do some research to find out what type of sound you want.

Forget about headers unless your going to do the whole LT headers thing.
