Heading out....to MS

I am heading out tomorrow for a 9 day stay in Gulfport,MS. I work for American Medical Response and we are sending a team from our NW operations. The AMR office in Gulfport was completely destroyed by the storm. We are going to help them continue to provide aid to the residents of the area, since they are overwhelmed.

Are you National Registry? They asked me if I was, which I'm not anymore I let mine go dead in 2000. There will be a need for medical personnel for many months to come. They are setting up ER's in tents everywhere.

AMR hires medics for Portland, have you tried there? AMR also runs medic units in Pierce, Lewis, and Thirston counties, as well as Spokane. If you've thought about moving into WA.

Salem Oregon just went to private from Fire dept ems. I guess they hiring everyone who applies. Since the FD kept all thier personell.

What private did they go to? It's usually AMR or Rural/Metro. Working private is pretty nice I worked municipal before, way to much politics for me.

I think it was the rural/metro.

The just recently converted. I am hoping that alot of the P's from salem and portland.

that was there will be less competition at the Fire dept's. :evil:

the privates down here do not pay squat. Metro west is down in Roseburge and they start around 11 bucks an hour.
