Are you just looking for a solution for cleaning the outside or shining up dull housings?

cryptic, i'm in middle of swapping tranny right now. I got T-45 dirtcheap($250), so i'm going to do that now so that at least car is up and running again. But i got this sneaking suspition that it might not have been tranny at all....

I have always had good luck with just waxing them. They seems to respond quite well. Let me know if you find out something remarkable and shines 'em up better than doing the complete sanding down and refinish method.
