Try wet sanding(800 grit) them then buffing it out. That clears up the yellowing effect they get.

someone told me put powersteering fluid on a rag and wipe the headlight

You can test it on a small area on the corner

I dont have the brandname for it, but Eastwoods sells a cleaner/polish that is specifically made for headlight/taillight lenses, Might pay tp check them out. As long as the haze is only on the outside.... If you have a hazey light on the inside, you might have a moisture problem.
Whatever you do Do Not Use Simple Green (or similar product) or you will etch the surface....
good luck

As an intermittent solution, I put Mother's California Gold Wax (Paste) on the headlight and it brings back a little more shine and takes off some of the yellow-ish haze effect.

Yes sand them down then polish up the lenses use some Mother's w/ the red label/white can. They will be ruby red like a mofo when youre done.
