Headlight problems

I had a headlight go out. I pulled the bulb and it was bad. I bought 2 new ones and put em in...everything was great. A couple days later, the same headlight went out again. I pulled the bulb, and it looked OK. If you tapped on the headlight, it would work again though. I figured it was bad to so I replaced it again. Well, then the bulb on the other side went bad. I tapped on it and it worked again, but that was just a temporary fix. Its out again right now.

The thing is, the brights always work, its just the dims that are hit/miss. EVERYTIME i use the brights both light up. Its just the dims that are giving me problems.

Where should I start my search? Thanks guys.

mine would occasionally go dim on the drivers side and i just went to a junk yard and got the connector where the headlight plugs into and since has worked fine

Ill check some things with a circuit tester and other stuff tomarrow if I can wake up in the morning.

yeah, might wanna check the harness, and the ground.
