I just got my stang this weekend, it is a 93 gt and when we test drove the car it was a night and a couple min. into the drive the headlights would go off....then on..then off. The guy said mustangs are know to have that problem, he said it is the headlight switch. I just wanted to see if you guys have had or heard about this "known" problem? Thanks

Yep. Headlight switch. Reason being is that the switch can't handle the fog light circuit. You can change your switch every few years or rewire the fog lamps to a different circuit altogether. If you decide to replace just your switch, take a good look at the condition of the foglamp switch wiring as well. More than likely, the plug in is melted some too.

Hey thanks for the info, thats what I thought also. I am going to replace the switch and I also though about going with HID headlights. Cost alot of $$ but also I wouldn't have to rewire the switch since the HID uses less current. Plus they function way better than stock and look sweet at the same time.

Just don't run your fog lights until you fix it. I burned out a while bunch of wires from this problem on my first GT. It wasn't cool. It isn't that hard to fix so give it a shot.
