What should I look for.

I have my gauges, lights, ignition and engine all wired up w/ the EZ Wiring harness.

I checked, checked, and checked again and my headlights seem to be wired correctly but do not come on. when I pull the headlight switch out half way, the right parking light comes on and both tail lights come on. The left parking light does not come on and appears to be in good condition.

When I pull it the whole way, the parking light goes out as it should, the tail lights stay on as they should but the headlights never come on. I have the foot dimmer switch wired up per the diagram and it seems to have no affect.

Where should I start on this one?

So far the following all seem to be working
*Courtesey light
*tail lights
*gauges
*Gauge light
*radio
*Cig lighter (blew a fuse)
*alternator
*one parking light
*horn
*Temp Sender
*Oil Sender
*Fuel sender

The headlights are the only thing giving me a headache and I have not gotten to the steering column as the EZ wiring kit in NO way imaginable matches up to what I have in my steering column.

Check for power at the dimmer switch from the light switch.

Make sure the head light bulbs, connections and grounds are wired correctly.

Apparently I hadn't completed the circuit and I am not sure what I did to finally complete it. I decided sonce it wasn't working, I would just skip it and move on.
I wired the alternator up, and the starter coil and got the car to start then when I went back to revist the headlights, they were working perfectly.

So now everything is perfect with the exception of having not gotten to the steering column section.

NOTE to everyone who buys EZ wiring harness: It is great, and I thihnk it will work perfectly. However, it will need some modifications like either ripping off all the plugs and wiring to your accessories or buying GM switches for which the harness is designed. And you can throw the instructions away. they are completely useless. There is more and better wiring information scattered throughout this forum then in that piece of crap instruction manual they provide.
