When ever my headlights are on, they stay on for a while, but then start blinking on and off, im like wtf, and I do a lot of night driving. Is this a short or what I really need to fix this asap.

Anyone have this problem?

Could be a bad headlight switch, a couple wires in mine were starting to melt together for no apparent reason a long time ago and the inconsistancy of the lights was one thing that happened. The other thing it could be is your multi-function switch, I recently found out that this stupid thing has some control over the headlights. Mine would flicker semi-rapidly on and off and finally wouldnt come on at all (happened at night, I was thrilled as you can imagine). Next time your lights go off try to hit your brights and see if they work, if they do its a strong possibility that it is your multi-function switch.

I'll second that... Don't know why they did that, i guess just something faulty on the car? Probably had a recall that none of us knew about. I ended up taking the connectors out and crimping them onto the blades of the switch, then taping around each of them individually. I did this because it didn't seem to fix the problem when i put in the new switch. Problem isn't switch, tis the harness!

Mine did the same thing. It was the multi-function switch. My headlight would go out and i wiggled it and they came back. One night they didnt. I had to hold the switch back so i had brights and dims. I tore apart the dash and the connector was fryed. the switch was also fried. Replaced it and hasnt happened since

Your headlights are possibly turning on and off because newer cars have self-resetting circuit breaker for the headlights. If it is the breaker it is switching on and off because of a short or a ground in the headlight circuit. It could also be the switch or a loose or bad connection.

Check up by the battery on those 2 black wires attached to the radiator support.
