I have a 98 GT and I have noticed over the past year that my headlights have not been putting out much light. I tried buying something at a store(I don't recall exactly what) to help clear the buildup off of the lights. It didn't work very well, as I still have the problem. I was thinking of just buying new headlights, I was looking at either the Cobra's or maybe a Projector kit. Has anyone else had similar problems with their headlights; or have any suggestions on which kind of headlights to get if I buy new ones?

Ditto

I am experiencing the same problem with my old, yellowed stockers. Was the stuff you bought called PlastX? Meguiar's makes it -- I've heard good things from a couple of my dad's buddies about it, but I've never tried it myself. I'd just rather get a new set of headlamps and some good halogen bulbs.

I tried the projector lights and they sucked as bad as stock! I now have clear likr the Cobra and that made a huge improvement...these plus some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs really make it brighter. I also put in some clear fogs and that helped too.
Plus it really adds in the look dept. find the stuff at www.50resto.com

Yeah, my headlights are the same way. A friend of mine has Angel Eye projectors and they put out a pretty good amount of light if you get a higher wattage bulb than the ones that come with them.

I've had the two piece projectors... They cracked... Got the new style projectors, you couldn't adjust the light by the way they are one-piece that fit into our cars. So, they pointed pretty much straight down. Now I have the Black Beauty's and the driver's side has all kinds of moisture build up... I think I'll just spend the money and get Ford OEM cobra lights... Aftermarket lights just aren't built as well.. From my experience...

i bought some stuff from my altima lights, which were yellow and ****ty. Called Briteeyes from AUTOCOSMETICS cost 28 bucks with shipping. comes with 600 gritt sand paper, 1.25 oz bottle of Clearing agent, 1.25 oz bottle of Polycarbonite resin, 2 microfiber cloths, and an applicator pad... after 25 mins my headlights looked brand new. I recommend it if u dont have the money to spend on new lights
