How do the headlights come out of a 1998 Cobra.

Is it necessary to remove the bumper cover?

I don't see exactly what holds them in place.

i'm looking to replacing mine also because they are very faded. i was wondering what the diff is between the gt and cobra headlights cause the cobra ones are like 100 more. i think its just the design of the lines on the front of the headlights and i'm pretty sure the gt ones will fit but not absolutely sure.

The headlight adjusters have little tabs that must be pushed in. This enables the adjusters to be pushed through the header panel. Very easy, just be careful not to scratch the paint on the bumper cover.

You don't have to worry about the bumper cover at all. Everything you need access is available from above. Just flip up the plastic cover that's between the headlight and the upper radiator tie bar. Look down behind the headlight and everything you need is right there.
