I had a headliner professionally installed a while back. I had to rip the old one out years ago when i first got the car. I had all the rods when i had it put back in. I see in this auction that there are some type of clips, too. Anyone have any info on them? Will it hurt anything not having them installed?

I wouldn't sweat it. If it looks good installed, you're fine. They hold the 3rd bow from being pulled too far forward when stretching it snug. The installer may have fabbed something up, or just glued the back first, then pulled the front. Either way, you should be OK, plus you're like .5 ounce lighter now!
