HEADRESTS ???

What's the trick in removing the headrests in a 1991 convertable? I don't see any type of latch or button. They both go up and down freely, but won't come completely out of their holders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a clip that slides into a slot on the headrest shaft to stop it... you need to unzip the back seat cover at the bottom, put the head rest all the way up, lean the seat forward, reach up with a long standard screwdriver and wedge it between the clip and the headrest shaft. Once that's done, you should be able to reef the headrest off. Good luck!
