Maybe Some Edelbrock Performer heads or Trick Flow Twisted Wedge, with a B303 cam sounds about right for your app.

My vote is for AFR165's, and a Comp Cam Xtreme energy 264hr-24. Depends on the intake. Without a new intake, heads and cam are kind of limited. Do you have an AOD or T5? That has a lot to do with the came you choose as well as gears. the 264 cam is a good stock HO replacement. If you plan to add components later to let the heads breath then go with the Bcam. Rough idle though from what I hear.
