well, I been having water mixin in my oil on my 1990 5.0 gt and i took the heads off got em tested and he said he put about 50psi to em and they didnt leak a bit so.. what else could it be? i baught the car from a guy i know and he said a lifter clapsed(sp?) and he had to put another one in there and after he put it back togeter he was lettingit run and it started having white smoke so he checked the oil, it was mixed, he chagned the oil and it still did it... he said it could just be that he put the intake gasket on wrong or something, but he did use a sheet load of blue silicon on it, like he was trying to make his own or something lol. i got new head gaskets and intake gaskets now, what else should i look for before i put it back together? could it just have been the intake gasket? the motors brand new with 5,800miles on it and i checked all the cyylinders and all that and there not cracked or scared that i can see anyway. any imput would be great. thanks yall for answering all my questions for me! ya'll helped me out alot in the last few weeks! :SNSign:

My guess is head gasket. Do you have a leak-down tester?
Did you check your heads for flatness / warp?
Do you have coolant system pressure tester?

large amounts of RTV is a tell tale sign of a problem.

well, he checked them for warpage and to see if there cracked so there not cause they didnt leak down. and the gaskets look fine, no cuts, tares or anything. thats why I'm thinking intake gasket. thats what everyone is telling me around here that I ask. I have a compressen tester, I'm going to put it all back together sunday I guess. what else could have caused it?

The intake leak around the 4 bolts on the end of the intake is quite common. Make sure you have silicon around the water jackets in this area of the intake. Also your throttle body has coolant running through it. There could be a leak there getting into the inatke and straight into the combustion chamber.

well he obviously screwed up when putting it back together, by not sealing the intake properly, and coolant is getting into the oil.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
