I finally got my heads back from porting(the exhaust side only). I am now looking for roller rockers, pushrods etc. The heads have casting number E6SE(1986 Thunderbird) on them, got them for $50 bucks from a tech. at work. The car has a stock bottom end, might get a cam but nothing rediculous, and full exhaust. Any ideas???? Other info. in sig.

I was looking at the 1.7 roller rockers, but I have heard from a few people(Grady) that the 1.6's are better in case you do any mods down the road.

yea it depends on what cam your going to run. if your sticking with the stock then 1.7 will add a tad more lift to it.

but then again if you go with an aftermarket head down the road most are stud mount rockers where as stock stuff is all pedastal mount so you would need new rockers anyways.

yea, i was thinking about doing a cam like a Steeda #19 or something close to it. I do not plan on doing much racing with my car, mostly street driving. I am just looking for some extra light to light performance.

This says what I have tried to point out all along about oem iron heads

If you think you are gonna be going to an Aluminum head later on, why spend any money on rockers you may not use later on with the better heads.

TFS does not even give you a choice to use peds.

The stamped steel rockers work just fine and are nice and quiet
besides
If you upgrade them, you just have two basic choices
1) Rollers
2) 1.7 Rollers

Neither choice is gonna give any kind of gain to speak of
