just a reminder that friday HEADSUP NW will be having a race, no entry fee other than tech card. Drag radial will be no tire limits so everyone come out and play.
100 dallors to win trophies for 1st and second. true street will also be ran 10 inch tires anything goes 1 power adder. hope to see you all there.

btw, Its at PIR this time..

Don't tell me that there's gonna be someone that should be running in True Street or Outlaw that's going to strap on a big set of DRs just so they can scoop up $100. I thought the idea was to relax the rules to get more street cars in.

Well, at least I hope it's not someone I know...

Oh, and Jeff, I'd love to accommodate by letting Nate take the car but I'm currently working on a *small* issue that needs to be taken care of before the car goes out again. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice it to say that the car is down right now. Yet another reason why it won't be doing the 1320 tonight. If it was, I'd love to line up against a certain red Cobra thats been talking about his 12 second wonder...

...but I know where there's a blue coupe that wants another run :D

He'll get his chance soon enough...maybe.

I posted over on HU that I might have to hang up the helmet for the rest of the year. My new job is kicking my ass and there's no end in sight. While it's good to be back to full time employment, it's wreaking havoc on my race time. I'm definitely going to have to make it out one more time this year to give Jeff his shot - I know he wants a piece of the GreenGo. :D

Just saying hi.. Talked to a few of ya at PIR tonight. Nice turnout for the Stangs! I was chillin around with Tim Ballz in his Supra.. Hopefully I can compete in the next quick 16 event myself and snag that $100.. lol

Hopefully Pog is listening, cause my memory sucks...

Jeff didnt get a 10...yet
Chung ran a 10.3 or 4 I think
Vulcan was running 9 flatish
Misha....ran :jester:

thats about all I remember
hopefully someone in the know will post actual times

The GTO was running in the mid/high 10's like walley said, and was running on the 295/65-15's. They are a pretty darn big tire, basically measuring 30"X10". Not a very impressive time for such a large tire really, should be interesting come September 2nd.

Wally's car counts are correct as well, best field we've had yet although we only had one car show up who intended to run in Sport Compact (Lucas English) so he ended up getting bumped up into DR.

I should be able to do the event write up tomorrow, I've been kinda busy today fighting some head lice that showed up on the kids :-/

Sounds like a good turn out. I wish I could have been there. Hopefully I'll get some time tomorrow to go work on the car - just depends on how late I have to work tonight.

So it sounds like the DR tire size limit is lifted for the rest of the season?

It will be for the 2nd, and most likely for the last race on October 7th as well. It's just kind of a wait and see type thing, if the class gets out of hand we may end up reeling it back in. It is supposed to be an entry level class afterall, and there are cars locally who are more than capable of running 9's on drag radials if they wanted to just cherry-pick the class.
