HEADS UP NW RACE TONIGHT!!!!!

For those of you that have never raced in the heads up program..we will race a couple of qualifying passes and then go into eliminations. the time between passes is approx. 20-30 minutes..If you lose an elimination round, big deal...you can then get in the late night lanes and continue racing like you normally do on friday and sat. nights.

Even if your car is slower than a snail...your going to get 3 passes in....And you must experiance the jitters of an actual elimination pass.(it's awesome)

Also, it doesn't cost any extra to run in the Heads-Up program unless you want to be included in the points series. The points program is $10/event, all of which goes into a pot for the top finishers at the end of the year.

and don't forget, it's not uncommon for the slower car to win. Last year Wally went to the final driving Ray's Fairlane, in OUTLAW, and at another race Ken Schaffer drove past the MUCH FASTER Horspower Freaks sponsored car of Chris Bergman in the first round and went to the final. He won with an 11.77 over a 10.26 and Bergman had gone 9.78 in qualifying.

Those are just the two most dramatic examples, I'd say at least half the time the top qualifier does not even make it to the final so everyone has a good shot at a win.

Want to thank everyone for coming, not a bad turnout for this early in the year. We had a total of 10 cars, 4 in outlaw, 5 in True Street and 1 for Drag Radial.

Speaking of Drag Radial, the bar has been raised a bit as Dan Powell went 10.42 @ 140mph on the class legal 235/60-15 radials. The old class record was 11.008 set by Phill Conlin back in June of last year.

And Jeff Hryciw of All Ford Performance took home the win in True Street, his first Heads-Up event win.

Great job Jeff and Dan!

I'll be doing a full event write-up for the Heads-Up site later this weekend.

Dan went 10.42 @ 130mph, not 140. But still that just shows ya that there could be alot more guys running on that tire. Dan's car has stock suspension with an air bag too. I wish more people would try this tire, and come out and have some fun.
