Health Insurance... How much you pay?

I have a pretty good one its the POS plan its 75 a month and it covers everything except laser eye surgery. I think the deductable is 20 bucks. But the downside of of it is the job i have, its only good because its a dangerous career thats why im trying to get my degree online and kiss the oil field by by

I think I pay somewhere around 150 a month for me and my son. No deductibles, just a $15 copay. It was only a few years ago, that I only paid about $15 a month for the same coverage. Of those were also the days when my bonus was over 10k every year too. Insurance, Healthcare, pharmaceuticals are all a HUGE out of control money pit.

I pay $75 a month for Group Health Insurance (Self Only). Vision is just a $15 office visit. Dental is a $50 deductible and they pay $1,000 of dental for a calendar year. Prescription drugs is $15 for a 30 day supply of generic and $25 for a 30 day supply of brand name. Would this be all they would charge you for some of those really expensive prescription drugs you hear some people are paying?? The booklet really does'nt say. I'm lucky if I pop 12 aspirin in a year. The Catastrophic Care is hazy in the booklet. I'd have to ask a Group Health rep for a clearer explanation of the deductibles for that.

i dont pay anything, my mom works at a hospital so im covered under her and my stepdad pays through bnsf so im completely covered. Its awesome, i had a 15k surgery and it got it down to our deductibe only

Damn, you guys pay a lot. I thought mine was bad, but I only pay about $100 per month. Although, the coverage kind of blows and it's a PITA having to make sure that I go somewhere that's in my "network."

mines about 70 bucks a month. id have to get the book out to find out what exactly it covers but from what i remember its a good policy.

BlueCross/BlueShield 100% company paid.$5 copay and $5 prescriptions.

Mine used to be free for my wife and I through my work. After the last contract period I now pay like $10 a month. HMO, so everything is $10 a visit, and prescriptions are pretty cheap....and I've never had a problem with not being able to see a good doctor....helps living near a big city I guess. Now that my wife is working full time and has access to her insurance, I have to pay an extra $50 a month since she opts out of hers.

Gotta love working for schools....and the huge teacher union Although stupid Ohio wants to force all government employees onto the same health plan, which would be good for small cities and stuff, but terrible for large cities like Cincy... Damn government trying to undermine collective bargaining.

A lot of you guys are really lucky. Free is awesome. Most policys are running employers $6-10k/yr each for individual and $12-20k/yr for family policys. My employer was actually happy that their rate didn't have a double-digit percentage increase from 2006-2007.

My HMO used to be $14/mth, and now I switched to PPO, which runs me about $25/mth. I haven't been to a Doctor in 3 years. No need to.

I think ours is about $20 a month and includes my husband, me and both kids. Dr. visits $10. Prescriptions $10, and dentist Free unless you opt for things like white fillings instead of silver, in which case it's about $25. He works for the state, so the benefits are great.

My health insurance for my wife and me is $1113 per month. I pay $212 and Kimberly-Clark pays the rest. They don't offer dental for retirees.
