Heat/AC controls swithced with CD guage cluster

I was wondering if anyone has done this yet or can tell me if it will work, In my car I have my ac/heat controls, then where the stock mach 460 am/fm cassette used to be, then on the bottom i have the mach 460 cd player. I already installed my headunit in the middle hole and have the Florida 5.0 CD delete gauge cluster ready to go in.... but if i can i want to move the ac/heat contols down to the bottom hole and put the gauges in the top hole.

does anyone know if this will work or give me any input, i think it will look awsome that way.
