Heat shrink and in-tank fuel pumps

Does anyone know whether standard heat shrink can be used on an in-tank fuel pump. I am finally going to put a Walbro 255lph pump in and wanted to solder the connections together.

I wouldn't bother soldering if I was you. If you really want to though I don't see why you would need the shrink wrap. It's just regular wire and crimp fittings on the stock stuff. Just make sure your connectors fit nice and snug. If nothing else find some petroleum resistant epoxy and put on the connections.

use heat shrink if you plan to solder...
