Well Im finally getting back to the painless harness project. Its basicly dont except for some small stuff.

Im trying to get my head around how the heater is wired. I have a hot wire from the harness, 2 wires on the blower motor, the plug for the resister on the heater box, a red wire, a blue wire and a black/yellow striped wire on the heater switch.

Can anyone give me a quick rundown of what connects to what?

I am just about done with a harness install in my 73. I decided to use one of the E-Z harness kits. Anyway, I got a manual for my stang and it's got the wiring harness for the 65-73 mustnags so I take a look at it and tell you what's what. I'm at work right now so I'll have to wait till I get home, but I'll be glad to help you out.

The hot wire goes to the blower motor. The second wire off the blower motor then goes to the blower resistor. The remaining connections on the blower resistor go to the switch, then the switch connects to ground. (The switch is used to complete the circuit and sends the blower power to ground thru the blower resistor giving you the multiple motor speeds)

See here for wiring schematics.

Good luck,

John

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I got distracted by my own wiring project. So I checked out my wiring diagram and they left the accessory wiring digram out of the manual. I can't help you out after all, but you should be alright with what snakestang65 provided.

Yes, Thanks snake. The wiring diagrams I had were nowhere near as complete as the ones you gave me. They answered not only my heater question, but also my wiper switch question, and finished off what was left on the headlight switch. thx again
