my understanding is ppl buy a 1/2 npt bushing that reduces if from 1/2" to 3/8" npt and put there ect sensor in that bushing and cap off the other side.
After we cavemen discovered fire, invented the wheel, and laid the foundation for all of mankind, we kind of slacked off .... we're just getting back on the ball now
