Need heater/evap case advice ASAP

Got a problem that's got me bangin' my head against the wall, just like this guy . I'm in the middle of yet another heater core replacement (this is the 4th one to be installed in the car) and the heater/evap case needs to be replaced. No big deal, got another one out of a wrecking yard. Problem is, the guy removing the case from the donor car dinged up the evap fittings so bad it can't be used, and now I have to remove my evap core from my old case, and install in the new used case and I can't figure out how to pull the case apart without destroying it. Anybody out there know how to pull this off? ANY help ASAP would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kerry

Sorry, but you'd see alot more responses if people have ever done this. That's not the case. Not a very common thing to have to do.

So why have you had to replace the heater core so many times? Have you ever flushed your cooling system? Also, for future reference, alot of times if you have a bad core, you can just flush it out & it will work just fine again.

I have seen peeps say this about r&r of heater cores

Since it is such a task to r&r

Buy a genuine, blue oval Ford replacement part only.

Sounds like wise advise to me

I'm thankful I have not had to do that ...... yet
