Eddie - it may sound a bit different - mine was just a bit louder with 1 5/8th's shorties replacing the stock HO headers. However, you'll see no HP/torque gain at peak, and may lose a bit of torque down low with a nearly stock engine. While they look restrictive, the stock headers flow just fine until you get to about 280HP. Before and after dyno runs on my mild H/C/I combo showed we lost 3HP at peak when we put the shorties on. You'd do better sending your stock lower intake to tmoss and let him port it for you. That's the biggest inlet flow restriction on the engine - you'll pick up 10-20HP with a properly ported lower; or go with an aftermarket intake if you're gonna keep modding other things too. Save your headers until you get ready to crank up the HP more and then go long tubes if you can.
