HEGO sensor & ground?

oh no kidding, alright, well i read that someone had extended their HEGO ground wire to the engine block and it cleared up a hesitation issue at part throttle that i also have, so i wanted to give it a try. can anyone clarify this any more?

They might have meant the orange wire. It affixes to the back of the engine. Here's a harness pic. See #19.
