You don't need a full face helmet for full-bodied car, but it must be rated Snell 98 or higher.

QFT. Also, some tracks that are more strict with NHRA rules will not allow M (motorcycle) rated helmets, SA/K rated is required in those instances. I bought myself a Bell Mag-4 (SA2005) open face from a local shop about half a block from my house for ease and convenience. Again, some SCCA events will also be more particular about the helmet rules.

they dont even make u wear a helmet at all at this track. and i'm a convertible. my first time for my first run at a track ever was 9.40 at 82.3mph. but this is without the gears that are in my sig cuz those go in tomorrow. next weekend will be better i just couldnt get the launch down. i wasnt spinning i was just timid and didnt give it enough when i slipped the clutch and it bogged down. then its catch up.
