Hey y’all, I have a 2000 Mustang 3.8L base model & I’ve recently had slight issues starting it up. I work overnight & on 9/17 around 2am I had the first instance where the lights & everything came on when I put the key in, but the car wouldn’t start. A couple minutes later it went completely dead then started after a couple of more minutes & I was fine for about 2 hours then it died again. I got a jump & drove to AutoZone where they tested my battery, alternator & starter & everything came up green with no issues. On 9/18 it was driving like normal, then around the same time as the previous day I had the same problem, but it didn’t completely die again it just wouldn’t start until after a couple of more minutes. What could be the issue here?

Have the parts store pull codes or you can.

If it happens again in the near future, try this: Rotate the key to the [On] position. Listen for the fuel pump to prime. Repeat those steps two more times before placing the ignition switch to the [Start] position.

Report back.
