Need some help:

Capri has been sitting for about 2-3 weeks, but with weekly starting.

Went home to start the Capri (86 with Mass Air Conversion, 5-speed, MSD Ignition coil, and distributor) New distributor module.

1. Started fine, but idled a little rough. (bouncy 100-200 rpms)
2. When “giving it gas” engine bogged, but at light throttle ran fine.
3. After 6 miles of driving(speeds from 0-55mph), engine died at stop sign while beginning to drive away in 1st gear.
4. When trying to re-start, engine had a hard time turning over, and starting. (Almost like dead battery, or bad starter.
5. Got engine started after about 10 tries, and proceeded to drive car home (as not to be stranded), experienced same effect in items 1-3
6. Car died before I could put it in Garage, and experienced same effect as item 4.
7. Tried to start car again and experienced same effect in item 5, but took about 15-20 tries.

The Mass Air has been touchy at times, usually after car has been sitting, but disappears and runs great after some “warm-up” driving.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I tried to run a search in the forum using (Rough idle, rough starting, etc.), but found nothing.

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
