I have 93 GT, for the most part completely stock, other than an explorer intake and cobra rockers. The car came with a powerdyne kit, uninstalled, but almost complete. From what I can see it was done over by 928 Motorsport, I stumbled upon the receipt in the trunk. The install was pretty much a breeze except some bolt were missing but it's all sorted out now.

Now, my concerns are regarding the blow-off valve that's on the intake pipe, I'm a newbie when it comes to forced induction. It seems like there's a knob on the valve for adjustment. From what i can understand I close the adjustment, the less pressure if relieves, right? I am yet to install a boost gauge and a fuel gauge, just to check and make sure, but I'm also trying to figure out what's causing the surging idle since the install.

Does the idle surge with the supercharger disconnected from the intake with only the MAF and the air filter in the inlet path to the throttle body like the stock configuration?

I've been trying to upload a video of the problem, but yes, jrichker, even with the supercharger taken out of the loop, it still surges. Would it have anything to do with the blow off valve that's on the intake tube?

Is it a blow off valve (vents to atmosphere) or a bypass valve (recirculates the air back into the system)? If it is a BOV and vents to atmosphere that could cause the issue if your car is mass air still and doesn't use a map system like megasquirt, holley efi, etc.

Have you tried pulling codes? Pics of set-up

Make sure that you have the stock air box, MAF and ducting in place, and no extra parts BEFORE trying to troubleshoot any idle problems. You need to separate the modifications from the stock configuration to make sure that the modifications did not make the problem happen.

Once the air intake system has been returned to stock configuration, then troubleshoot the idle problem.

You guys with idle/stall problems could save a lot of time chasing your tails if you would go through the Surging Idle Checklist. Over 50 different people contributed information to it. The first two posts have all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix your idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. It includes how to dump the computer codes quickly and simply as one of the first steps. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix.

It's free, I don't get anything for the use of it except knowing I helped a fellow Mustang enthusiast with his car. At last check, it had more than 200,000 hits, which indicates it does help fix idle problems quickly and inexpensively.

Black1987 and Jrichker- I too had the same idea, I believe it has something to do with the BOV. Like I stated, the kit came with the vehicle and for the most part, complete. So far, it doesn't have any codes at all, and the surging only happens once the car warms up.

I'll have to get my stock part from the storage, and see what else could be causing it, I've already check for any vacuum leaks and everything else. One thing I noticed though is seem to have developed an exhaust leak on my driver side header collector to the h-pipe. That'll be taken care of soon.

I'll get pics and videos up soon, photo bucket doesn't seem to wanna cooperate with me at the moment.
