Hey guys,

I live in Baltimore/Belair Maryland. I want to change the ATF in my Tremec to the recommended 3.2 quarts and use the Havoline Dextron III ATF but I can't find it ANYWHERE. I went to the Havoline site and went to all the stores listed but none carried it. Advanced, Parts America, Rite Aid, Pep Boys, K-Mart, Texaco gas stations. No one has it. Can someone please help. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Also, I am replacing the shifter at the same time to a Pro 5.0 and would like to know if I can fill the trans through the shifter instead of the fill hole? Your help is always appreciated.

Dave

Do not use Redline if its a 3650. Tremec says it will cause damage. I tried it before I knew not to use it. Plus it didnt make the 1-2 grind any better at all. I used Quaker State Dexron III and it worked better than the Redline plus its less than $2 a quart compared to $10 for Redline. And yes you can fill it through the top.

I put some redline atf in my t45. I think it sucks. I've always wanted to try it, but the tranny doesn't shift any smoother at all. When I get some more money i might drain it out and put maxlife in with lucas oil stabilizer. Thats what I put in my ford probe, it made it shift MUCH smoother and was quieter.
