help! clicking sound when engine gets hot: please throw some info in here.

ok, not a big problem but oh whell. When my car gets hot, it clicks, also its starting to do it when its cold sometime. its not too loud, but notacable. it dident do this when i first got it running. I have stock valve covers, and soem alum. Roller rockers. It may be hitting the covers, but why only when hot? i think it may have something to do with my valve lash...should i remove my rocker shim? anyone else had this problem? thanks

Since they are bolt down rockers, my instincts tell me that they aren't torqued down enough, not putting enough preload on the lifter.

What kind of rockers are they?

I've never tried it, but supposedly mechanics stethoscopes work well. That could easily tell you what is making noise.

Maybe it's pinging, mine pings when it gets hot enough.

I have noise coming from New SVO 1.6 roller rockers , my mechanic told me that isn't bad
