SO my brother came to visit, he lives about 4 hours away. Hes driving my 88 gt. Anyways, he broke down-heard a op noise when trying to put the clutch in. He just had the cable replace a few months back.
Anways, we pulled the clutch quadrant out and found some of the teeth gone, also on the pawl. I went around the auto part stores, no one had a replacement. Only option I guess is aftermarket but have to order. My question is, looking at the aftermarket ones, you can see there is two holes one for the quardrant and im guessing one where the pawl would be. Just for a quick fix, do you think I could jb weld or drill a screw to connect the quadrant and pawl together? Is that how the aftermarket quadrants work?-without the pawl?
Just trying to figure out how it works? Trying to get the car up and running by tmrw morning.... might just track down an aftermarket one somewhere. THanks for your help!!!
