ok, i figured out that i had a bad 02 sensor, got voltage on the driver side and no voltage on other side, so i bought a brand new sensor and put it on the passenger side, run koer and get code 42, this has to be the most f----d up thing i have ever dealt with this car.....
all i wanted to do is rebuild my motor and put it back in so i can drive it...nothing but problems now....and i cant seem to get the help i need, guess i will have to break down and go to a mechanic, which as far as i know their isnt a single place around here that knows a damn thing about 5.0..... fuel pressure is fine, 02 sensors are fine, so i think, and no matter what i do i cant get rid of this hesitation problem at slight throttle........is there a chance that maybe my attempt to port my stock intake might have screwed something up....that is the only difference in my motor now than before i rebuilt it.....maybe i should not have even rebuilt the damn thing, it ran great before, just that it had 160,000 on it. please somebody help so i dont go broke or sell this damn thing....maybe go back to chevy

I would completely start your diagnostics over. Go slow and be sure you're testing components properly.

Hey, someone mention my name?

Yes, back from the dead, more or less. Did a google search for my user name since I had a eBay auction that got a thousand or so views and saw this. Haven't been on here in two or three forum upgrades but still see the same sinners preaching the gospel God why all the advertising though?

JSS, play nice. You're just chasing your tail like every other stanger out there. Note that the aftermarket Bosch O2's with the '-492' part number aren't that great. I just went through a couple trying to get two that worked correctly. Your best friend with these 'problems' is an air / fuel gauge and a three way switch so you can monitor both o2's to make sure they are both sweeping correctly. My '93 got the cackle cackle cough cough a couple weeks ago, drivability went away. It was either WOT or gagging. The regular o2 was ok, but flipping to the other o2 and it was reading lean. Swapped out both with spares out of laziness (didn't feel like unplugging one to see which was bad) and managed to put another dead one in it's place, but it read rich all the time. Third time on the jack and I put the two good ones together and the car runs like brand new. BTW, my car always want's to code for something, but I always have a hard time getting the code reader to read.

In other news I chased a WOT problem with the ranch for a couple months until the stock '88fuel pump died on me and I put a 190 in. Made a huge difference in sound and performance, even lost two MPG with the new pump. Methinks it was bad for a while...
