Ok, so i bought a pair of thumper ported GT40's and put them on this week. The car will run, but not well, if you pull the #3 plug wire off, it runs exactly the same.
If you pull the spark plug out of the hole and ground it to the intake, it sparks a nice fat spark.... i then of course ran the compression check on #3 and it was 90lbs first comp stroke and went right up to around 140 on the second. The plug is soaked with fuel. Cylinder 8 is running, but i pulled that plug as well and is extremely wet with fuel too. I proceeded to chase problems in the carb, and rebuilt it. Same problem. I have no idea what to check next and any help would be much appreciated. Ive been around 302's for a while and i have never seen or heard of this *****. Thanks everyone. Here is a list of what i have done/checked

Has spark, tried different plugs etc
checked compression (i will be doing leakdown tomorrow)
rebuilt carb

engine:
stock disp 302, thumper GT40's, E cam, weiand dual plane intake, holley 650, MSD 6al igniton, MSD coil, FRPP 9mm wires.

If it's not a fouled plug issue, swap the plug wire with another and see if the issue follows the wire.

Just went through somthing similar with a 4.6 I was working on for someone. The compression test was o.k. ran like crap, flipped out on it for several days, decided to do a leakdown test, bad news. Might want to do a leakdown test instead of the compression test.
