help, emergency!!!

wow i guess if it doesnt pertain to running gear, or mechanics no one knows huh? ive go a busted emergency brake cable and trieng to fix it. and for the life of me i cant get the center console out.
Pull the shift ring/boot out. There are two 7mm bolts there that hold it to the dash.
Open the lid, pull out the insert that just snaps in, and there are two more 7mm or 10mm bolts down there. Pull those out, then lift manuevuer the e-brake handle in a position that allows you to lift up and back with the console, unplug the foglight/conv top switch (if there) and it's out.
It's as easy as warm apple pie!!
