I cant get the lower bolt on the right (passenger) side off at all, i've already broken 2 3/8" drives. is there ANY way i can get it off? heating it? anything? or should i just take it to a shop? thanks!!! :(

spray it with some PB Blaster or some other penetrating oil ...and let it sit for a while ...do it several times if you have to ...it worked for me on original manifold bolts on my '71
my fear is i over tightened it though. i was in a pinch and put the x-pipe on with no gasket. i finally got a gasket and its hard as hell to get off.

PJ1 makes some great penetrating lubricants that I have used on stubborn aluminum motorcycle applications. I would not recommend heat, due to the expansive qualities existing in the manifold already--you will only treat it as normal expansion.

I used a mid size socket and a swivel to get mine out.

bad news...

i picked up a 10" 1/2" extension and a 6pt socket...i tried so hard it broke the 1/2" swivel. i've been soaking it with PB. nothing works.

should i try it when the motor is cold?????? :(:(

only two things you can do... 1. is too try and let it soak in pb... the other is too go out and buy a MAPP gas torch.. .you may have a hard time tring too get it in there too heat the bolt but thats your only option without a real torch set
