HELP...FAST DISCONNECTED BATTERY NOW CAR WONT START

I disconnected my battery a little while ago for a few minutes to put a new one on and when i connected the new one, my car wont start. I think it has something to do with the alarm because the security light keeps flashing when i try to start the car....it just clics but doesnt start. Is this some stupid safety feature? how do i get around it? I need help fast.

i really dont know, but it might have somthing to do with the alarm. my alarm was acting pretty weird when i disconnected the battery also. is it a factory alarm?

Maybe the new battery is DOA or the connections are not good and tight.

If it 'clicks' rapidly and repeatedly...it's the battery charge.

it was the battery i bought...for some stupid ass reason it was dead took it back and got another one...everything is fine now.
