Help fix my 1400rpm idle!

I dont know what to do.. could it be the 75mm TB?

I tried setting the tuner, and the tuner has no effect on the idle what-so-ever.. even if i adjust the idle as low as it can go with the tuner.

I dont know what it could be.. but 1400 is just too much.

Help!

your TPS sensor or more than likely, your IAC could be screwed up. you can pick up a new IAC for $40-$50 at advanced auto, Napa, or vatozone. Or, you could get that IAC restrictor plate.

like helty said, it's probably something mechanically wrong. put the old t/b on and see if the problem goes away. if it does, then you know it's something with the new t/b.

I do have that restirctor plate you speak of..

I made it from a coke can, its just like the ones magnum sold basically.

I'll do some checks.. and see whats up.

The worst i can imagine its doing is killing my gas a lil more.. It's mostly just a lil annoying.

well, assuming your IAC is functioning properly, that means your TPS may be screwed up. maybe the butterfly is just ever so slightly open at idle?

read the instructions on how to adjust the throttle body. u might need to adjust the idle screw on the throttle body itself like the instructions say. it is tedius work but i would do that in conjunction with the TPS adjustment.
