I have exhausted my abilities to find some parts I want. I know they are made, I know who makes them, but after a few dozen phone calls I just can't find a way to buy them!

The parts I want would best be described as the "bag-o-hardware" that comes with the repro kit of the 1967 tail-light "blackout" panel. I have original panels and have no need or desire for the repros. Almost all the vendors sell the repros and the kit comes with that bag-o-hardware, but nobody will sell me the bag without the panels...sigh. Any of you gurus or folks that work for vendors know any way to get me the parts I want?

Darn, DK beat me to it.

From the AMK link DK posted:
Part No.: F-655 Description: TAILAMP PANEL MOULDINGS STAMPED ACORN NUTS, EXT KEPS NUTS Quantity: 20 Price: $12

I hope this isn't for just the tail lights themselves. It's been so long since I had my '67 (1988), I can't remember if the tail light bezels hold the buckets to the body or if there are 4 more attachments per side. I guess if you count the studs you have and come up with 20, this would be it.

Thanks fellas...the Stangnet community comes through again!

I am pretty sure the stock chrome bezels are held on from the inside using the same nut/stud that the lamp bucket is held on with, in other words 12 connectors. So the 20 must be for the 'blackout" panel, I'll take another look before I order.

Kinda sad that so many vendors (not naming names so don't even ask) could not figure this out while I am on the phone with my credit card in hand eh?

I think AMK is where they get all their stuff from anyway. AMK used to be here in OKC, OK as I understand.

Did you see my inquiry about your '67 coupes yesterday? It was in the SN65 post, in reference to the '77 Cutlass...

The company that manufactures the repro panels is in Taiwan, they may source the fasteners from AMK but I'n not sure about that, they wont talk to consumers though.

Yeah I saw the post, I know of no parts cars, only overpriced fastbacks :D
